This Is War, Baby
GO READ THIS BOOK!
My first book by K. Webster. She blew my mind. She reached in and touched my heart with this one, not an easy task. The plot was well-thought out, a mystery of epic proportions. This book is edge-of-your-seat greatness! An uniquely written captive book, totally different from the others. I fucking loved loved loved this book.
The first chapter sucks you in and you're lucky if you take another breath for the rest. Suspense. Darkness. Humor. Everything is this book. I highly recommend to darkies. I devoured in one sitting. The book is broke up into two parts. Part One is the rather dark stuff. The funny thing, I was laughing with the villain. You already know I love my villains, but this guy was delusional, hilarious, and I loved him a little bit. I have a soft spot for you, Gabe.
“Don’t hurt me, Gabe.” He flashes me a crooked grin. “Baby, I’m going to hurt you, but you’ll like it.”
The second part was a complete turnaround, intriguing, heartbreaking, a blast of pure originality that I look for in my books. I was hanging on to every word with a knot in my stomach. I can't say much more without spoiling. But. But, you meet War in the second. And, OMG!
"I was tainted. With her blood. Their blood. And the disease of my despair. There was no cleansing something so tainted.This was who I was now. This was War."
If you don't like cliffhangers, I'd say to wait a couple of weeks, then dive in, the next book is releasing pretty soon. GIVE IT TO ME!
