Di's Review
5 Bloody Stars!

"We are completely isolated in darkness. Even our shadows leave us…"

The Empathy Series is twisted perfection. Deadly is the ultimate guilty pleasure! Dive into the dark, you know you want to.

This series couldn't have ended any better. Ryan holds top spot for dark heroes in my twisted little heart. I can't let go of Ryan.

"Ryan was anything but normal, he was a king amongst men to me. A dark king forged from sin and he carried that aura around with him like a cloak, dousing him in a warning."

The conclusion. The end.
Maybe. One could only hope for at least one more book. I tell you what, this series could go on for another ten books, and I'd still be just as fascinated as I was reading the first book. How will the dark end for Ryan and Cereus? You won't expect it, you never know what little twists Ker will pull out of her sleeve.

I feel like I'm a voyeur. Should I have laughed throughout this book? Probably not. I can't help myself. Should I have enjoyed every last drop of blood? Probably not. Do I care? HELL NO. Dukey has the ability to write dark in a poetic, mind consuming way. The characters are flawed, the writing twisted, the words full of forbidden. I couldn't look away. I actually begged for more.

The final piece has been played. The game ended the way it should've, I hate to let these characters go. Enjoy the ride!!!

“I know a love so strong that I followed it into the darkest shadows, I bathed in the centre of another’s soul. You know you’re meant to be when you look into the eyes of the one you love and see yourself in them looking back at you, you’re one soul.”

Darcy's Review
5 Stars!

There's no doubt that I love a good sociopath. Ker Dukey has created the best so far!  DEADLY is pure gold. Part 4 in the Empathy series, Deadly takes off on a surprising path that I didn't see coming. Well maybe I had some suspicions swirling around based on events in Vacant but certainly not to this extent. Non-stop action that kept me on my toes. Something about Ryan's presence and voice that are written so damn well I feel like I could pick him out in a crowd.  If only he were real....  And now we find his niece, Cereus, has the same tendencies maybe even worse.  Love the chemistry these two have together (and yes, I did say niece.). Dang my sick mind for wanting them to cross forbidden lines and wanting more!  Although I hate to see their story wrapped up, Deadly's ending seems totally fitting. Don't think I could ever get my fill of Ryan. Ain't too proud to beg for more!  Fantastically gruesome and full of twists what's more to love?

I have always had a passion for storytelling, whether it be through lyrics or bed time stories with my sisters. I wanted to be an actress growing up so I could live many roles but I learned early on that my mind was too active… I would want to change the script.I would watch films and think of ways they could have improved the story if they took another direction so i thought it best that i tell my own.
My mum would always have a book in her hand when I was young and passed on her love for reading, inspiring me to venture into writing my own. I tend to have a darker edge to my writing. Not all love stories are made from light, some are created in darkness but are just as powerful and worth telling.
When I’m not lost in the world of characters I love spending time with my family. I’m a mum and that comes first in my life but when I do get down time I love attending music concerts or reading events with my younger sister.
You can find me on Facebook where I love interacting with my readers.
